OCD?

When we give Aida a snack we usually put all of the Cheerios, raisins, cheddar bunnies, whatever in the little cup holder on her high chair tray and she likes to swish the contents around with her fingers before grabbing a handful and shoving them in her mouth. Today I was working at the kitchen table and I just spread out some snacks out on her tray and went back to work. When I looked back over she had taken every single raisin and Cheerio and put each one in the cup holder before she would eat them. She was so proud of herself.

OCD already?

OCD already?

OCD already?

It isn't OCD. It's just that kids try and figure out how the world works, and up until then, the food had always started out in the cup, and she wanted it to keep working the same way. It is so important to be consistant and to let them know what the "rules" are from the start. They want to know and they are happier when they do. Love, Dad
